THE PRODUCER

“I am dealing with cacao production because it gives me an income after every two weeks,
sometimes throughout the whole year round. Through cacao I expect to get enough
money to build a house for rent, buy a motorcycle, improve my living standard
and pay for my children’s education.”

~ HOSEA KIMBAWALA

Kokoa Kamili works with about 3,000 smallholder farmers in a village called Mbingu
(Swahili for “Heaven”). They pay premium prices to these farms for wet cacao beans,
which are then fermented and dried in Kokoa Kamili’s own facilities.
